Welcome
If you’ve found your way to this page, it means you’re likely preparing for one of the most special ceremonies you will ever encounter in your lifetime.
I've spent two decades facilitating transformational experiences, from shamanic journeys to preschool classrooms, somatic healing sessions to corporate retreats. All of it has taught me one thing: ceremony is where we hold the space for transformation.
Wedding ceremonies are the culmination of my practice.
Whether you're an officiant stepping into this role for the first time or a couple preparing for your wedding journey, I'm here to help you create a deep and meaningful wedding ceremony by offering a method to the magic✨ Together, we’ll explore both the inner work and the outer structures so you can show up fully and create something truly yours.
For Officiants
YOUR COMPLETE SYSTEM FOR OFFICIATING WITH CONFIDENCE AND PRESENCE
You've been asked to officiate your friend's wedding. Huge honor. Also terrifying.
You might already be Googling "how to write a wedding ceremony" at 2am and finding scattered, piss-poor advice that treats this like a logistics puzzle. But you know it's more than that. You want to do this beautifully, not just competently.
The Ritual Guide takes you through the entire process: from your first meeting with the couple through delivering the ceremony. It covers the legal stuff, the writing process (including interview questions that literally write your speech for you), how to run the rehearsal, and the facilitation techniques that help you hold space with presence instead of just reading words.
This isn't a template. It's a complete methodology that gives you structure while making it your own.

CEREMONY PREP ONLINE JOURNAL
Coming Spring 2026
Most wedding planning focuses on logistics: flowers, food, photographers. But what about the ceremony itself? This whole process is a journey that taps so much more. When we lean into the process with intention, the wedding becomes a portal that can deepen the relationship and pull our comunity in closer.
The Ceremony Prep Journal is a shared process that will invite you and your partner into a practice of reflection and co-creation as you prepare emotionally, spiritually, and practically for the ceremony you actually want.
This is for couples who want their ceremony to feel authentic, intentional, and deeply meaningful - not just a required 20 minutes before the reception.
Some Thoughts
This work is a passion for me. Few things light me up more than being present for a moment in time when people are saying yes to life and to one another. This work I do for love.
As a student of spiritual traditions from the east and west, a child of a multiethnic/multifaith family, and a trained teacher and facilitator, I have a unique set of skills and experiences that bring my passion to life in for couples from all walks of life.
I look forward to serving you and making the magic of this day come alive!
Some Testimonials
“Ariel really listened to what my partner and I were hoping for from our ceremony and he captured it perfectly. Our wedding was warm and personal with just the right amount of laughter and love. Ariel helped start our married life on just the right note.”
Sarah, Long Island City
Ariel was truly a gift. Prior to our wedding, he went way out of his way to meet with us to better understand what our hopes and dreams were for the day. Since this was our first time getting married, he gave us ideas and suggestions on some of the things we should consider. Things that would allow us to make our moment unique to who we are and how we wanted to craft this crazy special moment. It's really crazy the day of... Ariel helped us both stay so grounded, helped us keep at the forefront of why were were here in the first place. The ceremony was so perfect. It allowed for a naturalness to unfold (in front of 300 people) while also having structure and covering a lot of the things we wanted to share with our community. If I were doing it again (which I won't be;) I would plan everything around Ariel being the one that facilitates.
-Matthew, Kingston, NY
“We couldn’t have possibly asked for someone better to preside over the union between an atheist Jew and spiritual, but non-religious, Christian African American. The vastness and diversity of his spiritual/religious knowledge uniquely suited him for such a task. Ariel was instrumental in providing our wedding ceremony with the soulfulness, humor, and cultural traditions important to both of us and our respective families.
The entire process was completely organic. He sat down with us for an in-depth conversation so that we could explain and discover what was important to us, both individually and as a couple beginning our new life together. From that conversation he crafted the blueprint and script for a unique and unforgettable wedding ceremony.
In a day when many couples see their weddings as instruments of self-expression, there is none better to facilitate that expression than Mr. Ariel Figueroa”
-Rob, Brooklyn
